A candidate is more than just a check list of issues. He has to be able to sell them.
What good is his stance on issues if he can’t convince anyone?

Right you are. I think Fred’s sales pitch came too late. I could enumerate several other mistakes that he made, but the points are moot now. My problem is that no one else is even TRYING to sell the issues about which I care most. Since we have had a virtual vacuum of conservative rhetoric since 1995 with “pragmatists” Gingrich, Hastert and Pres. Bush in leadership, maybe people have become too ignorant of civic values to understand a candidate such as Fred. Americans have become limp-wristed weenies, with the hand attached to those wrists groping for handouts. Best, Bob
