Fox News ^

Posted on 01/22/2008 11:17:25 AM PST by tpanther

Carl Cameron says it'll become offical sometime later this week.

Oh well, we're doomed. Let's hope it'll be minimal damage until 2012.

Romney.

Contrary to what a lot of others are saying, he's not as liberal as some would imply.

He ain't no staunch conservative to be sure, but he's a leap and bound better than the alternatives. If Romney backs out, so do I.

I will vote for whatever ticket has Thompson or Hunter or Santorum on it.

My son came back from his Virginia in-law's with a jar of White Lightning. I'm gonna sulk, AND have some of Granny's Rheumatiz Medicine.

Thompson made the right decision. I'm convinced he and Duncan both permitted the media to define them.

I agree. Whoever picks up Thompson, Hunter, Delay, or Santorum will get my vote....except RUDY. Rudy will never get my vote. McCAin will get it ONLY if he puts his most vehement critics....Santorum or Delay...on his ticket.

“Since a lot of Freepers and other conservatives have been bemoaning the lack of conservative presidential candidates, who out there SHOULD be running for POTUS?

Why don’t we draft THAT person? Put $$$$ behind THAT person?”

Ron Paul is already in the race. :)

Well, it seems I’ve inadvertently
opened up quite a big can of Bush

This should not be a surprise to anyone, whether you support him or not.

Couldn't agree more. No surprise.

Alan Keyes is on the ballot. I know the Dem Media wants you to forget that, but...

... Which leaves the least distasteful, Romney. He'll be great on the economy, and I don't think that he'll be a pushover on foreign affairs. I worry about him on social issues, principally guns, but that may be largely out of his hands ...

This is the one that ticks me off the most for completely ridiculous female reasons. I've learned to trust the 'ol gut in daily life, but I maintain doesn't belong in politics because it's really intuitive and prone to mistakes. But here's the thing: I've observed the Liberal Businessman Evangelical Republican Country Club set, and my nose goes wrinkly quick. I don't like image I see. It's goody two-shoes, kiss-up, smarmy, manipulative and unpredictable parading in a conservative Christian businessman suit, exuding optimism and take-chargism. My gut feeling would tell me to skeedaddle at the prospect of doing business with him. He's unpredictable because like my governator, he's a "big thinker" businessman who's also vain. Hey, I already voted once for Arnold Schwarzenegger. Nass-STAY!

If White Lightning qualifies as a gasoline additive, is it considered a liquor or a fuel?

Cheney/Bolton... that would be bad ass.

Thanks for making me smile after hearing the discouraging news about Fred.

I didn't have that link...but thank you for providing it. That's right, don't know why I forgot (and did read about that some time ago)...Ron Paul is a Christian man...and I remember now reading a very eloquent Statement of Faith he made...posted here in FR, July 2007.

Has there been any news about his Mom’s condition today?

Not that I've heard. Continued prayers for her and for Fred Thompson and his beautiful, young family. I feel that he was let down after being begged to answer our call.

Such a good man and almost perfect conservative. He'll be tapped for a very important position and in the interim, we'll pray for your "angels in the whirlwind..."

And we certainly run a risk of the same thing happening under a RINO. You mean to say that Rudy McRomney will be MORE conservative than George? Fat chance.

As the last 4 years under GWB has shown us, there is no difference between Rats and Pubs, just a symbol.

Repubs had congress for many years, the presidency for 8, and 6 of those together. I wasn’t impressed with the results.

Well, we know for certain where you will be election night.

Electing socialists and liberals with the letter R after their name is not who I’ll be pulling the lever for, nor shall I ever prop up others to do so.

Appears that’s exactly what you’ll be doing on election night.
