"Now, we know, even as we take this moment of joy and celebration, that the work is far from finished, the dream is nowhere fulfilled," she said.
There are no rich blacks. No middle-class blacks. No blacks in any of the major universities in this country. No black doctors, lawyers, generals or members of the cabinet. No black judges, which of course means no black judges sitting on the Supreme Court of the United States.

There are no blacks living in any communities anywhere in America where there are also whites and other races. There is segregation in the housing market. Blacks are locked in ghettos and can't move out, can't live wherever they want.

There is no chance for a black to get a good job, a good income, live in a good neighborhood and send their children to the same schools as white kids. School segregation, like housing segregation, is complete.

There are no black athletes playing on major sports teams, no black musicians, no black actors and no black radio talk show hosts.

Blacks are completely locked out of American society.
