“If McCain gets the nomination, I don’t know what I’ll do,” DeLay said at the Capitol Hill Club, according to a source in the room. “I might have to sit this one out.”

Get used to it, with frontrunners like McVain, Rooty and Huck, she will ne Madame Pres.

This party has failed to pick a conservative candidate and have relegated themselves to bickering factions instead of a coalition.

Formula for a loss.

---------Tom Delay was the Republican Leader who blew a hole through the deficit. Mr. Earmark himself. At least McCain will control federal spending.---------

From what I remember about Tom Delay(and I could be wrong, I didn't take the time to look it up) you may be right.

However, you're clearly incorrect on McCain. McCain is going to pass huge tax increases upon us.

“Go back to DU. I think I’ve seen that you’ve been told this at least three times today alone!”

I’m not a Democrat, and if you want to just read posts that agree with your opinions why don’t you send emails to yourself while looking at the mirror?

"That when the time comes even hardcore conservatives will vote for McCain while holding their nose rather than to allow Hillary...to be elected."

The GOP establishment have been banking on this. I'm afraid they'll be just as surprised with the results of '08 as they were with '06. They prefer no $, no conservatives, and even no Republican party to the embarrassment of having to be associated with us. They have convinced themselves that we will vote for anyone with an "R" after his name because we have nowhere else to go.

It was hyperbole.

(But I do admit I am happy I don’t live in a target rich environment; those, strangely enough, are blue areas.)

I’m very, very sorry to write this, but unless America snaps to very quickly, I believe John McCain will be the next President of the United States.

No he won't. Democrats aren't the idiots that Republicans are. They'll vote for the Democrat and leave McCain cursing and spouting off about conspiracies.

No problem.

Hey but I live in FL ... I don’t know, we are sort of target rich so c’mon!

You graduated from middle school? Who knew. Didn’t make through high school from what you said then. Why the meanness, just normal for you?

Carter was a disaster, I voted for Ford as well. But he did no real harm to the country, it is fine today. The same will happen again with the "hopey fascist" Democrats, they will screw everything up and the people will rebel again. It’s cyclical.

Not that I am in total disagreement with your visceral statement, but isn’t it time “we the people” made our voices loud and clear? Something like, “We’re mad as hell and we aren’t going to take it any longer!”

Okay, we are in agreement. I won’t vote for a McCain, Giuliani or a Huckabee either. Romney better get tough on illegal immigration or he won’t get my vote either.

Rummy was good until the occupation. He’s screwed up constantly fighting the brass and refusing to recommend or allow more troops. Rummy was ultimately wrong, and the surge was against his whole strategy.

McCain was one of the few voices that sided with the president and made the case for the surge, when everybody was staying away from the “Iraq issue”.

Let’s be honest about this stuff guys.

McCain won't control spending because he won't get the chance.

The dems will break him down and he'll show his famous temper costing him the election.

That, plus all of talk radio against him AND the drive-by's won't be giving him a free pass anymore when he goes up against Hillary.

Oh, and let's see...isn't this his second wife? Didn't he meet her when his first wife had cancer? Hillary will have a blast with that one.

Nope, McCrazy won't get any closer to the WH than he is now.

Carter ran the country into the ground -— the shock was necessary to wake the RINOs up.

Maybe I'm not nuanced enough ... however, we are talking McCain. This has extended out beyond McCain ... he loses (because many conservatives won't vote) a 'Rat wins, screws it up beyond anything anyone can imagine ... and another Reagan comes along in the next presidential cycle, wins, and corrects all that is wrong. Dream on ...
