“If McCain gets the nomination, I don’t know what I’ll do,” DeLay said at the Capitol Hill Club, according to a source in the room. “I might have to sit this one out.”

Way back when Reagan was President, his administration also banned certain types of assault weapons because they were “not suitable for sporting purposes.”
Do you think he had Alzheimer’s then too?

1994 was the year Regan admitted he had the disease.

Not this conservative. Reagan wasnt perfect either. Im not looking for perfection, Im just not willing to accept someone who represents Mexico better than they represent the US. Well, until we find such a candidate we are going to have to accept the fact that McCain is better then the Democrats on most issues.

And my original comment, I stand by it. McCains unlikely nominate constitutional judges who are going to overturn his babies; his major bills. The supreme court has already taken some bites out of McCain-Feingold.
It will gradually be whittled away as it gets challenged more and more.

Not at all. Under the Reagan administration, the ATF banned certain assault weapons and the ATF extended the list to include some others as well under Bush.
You can look it up for yourself.

If it were most anybody else, I’d be willing to accept that.
But not with McCain. He’s made it his personal crusade to get conservatives to bend over and grab the ankles.
I’m only one person, I can only do so much. But nobody who’s made it that point to step on my toes that many times, to stab me in the back that many times, will ever get my vote. His personal crusade prompted mine. And that’s it. I’m not granting McCain any amnesty for all he’s done.

I know.
I doubt McCain will help the SCOTUS to do anything further. Which is my point.
McCain won’t nominate constitutional judges. He doesn’t want his major bills to go away. That, and the things he wants to do in the future, you think he wants his own judges to be standing in his way?
It’s ludicrous to think he’d nominate originalists.

Its ludicrous to think hed nominate originalists. Maybe, maybe not, but we can be sure Obama or Hillary won't.

If it were most anybody else, Id be willing to accept that. Well, I have to agree with you that it is very hard to accept McCain as our candidate.

I’m not going to try. I don’t owe the party a thing. They’ve made it clear they don’t want my vote, so they won’t get it.
