“If McCain gets the nomination, I don’t know what I’ll do,” DeLay said at the Capitol Hill Club, according to a source in the room. “I might have to sit this one out.”

Sheriff Joe endorsed him long ago. I read he did some campaigning in Iowa I think it was. He should come to Florida!
When he loses, let’s hope he loses big. Then maybe the GOP will learn from the disaster, and fix the system so it never happens again.
This election should have been a slam dunk. The Democrats have an unlikeable old harridan, and here we are about to coronate an unlikeable old crank.
Two or three Supreme Court nominations will be down the toilet because the current system let someone like McCain rise to the top. Iraq will be the scene of America’s ignominious retreat.
I might have to sit this out as well.
It will be McCain v Obama.
That is a lot like Ford v Carter.
I don’t think it is a responsible thing to send America through another 4 years like we lived with Carter, in the vague hope that a Reagan would materialize out of it.
Maybe we will have the country so bamboozled, that like Clinton, Obama will get 8 years not 4 ... and the damage to our cause, our culture and our country will be irreversible.
Lightning doesnt strike the same place twice.
“When he loses, lets hope he loses big.”
He doesnt lose, *we* lose. If the Dems have a big win in November, we will be crushed.
” Then maybe the GOP will learn from the disaster,”
GOP primary voters picked him.
what is there to learn? If obama wins the GOP will become *MORE LIBERAL* because a very liberal candidate beat a RINO.
” and fix the system so it never happens again.”
what do you propose specifically?
A coup?
“Two or three Supreme Court nominations will be down the toilet because the current system let someone like McCain rise to the top. Iraq will be the scene of Americas ignominious retreat.”
Only if Barack Obama wins. Why do you want that to happen?
You basically wish for bad things to happen to teach yourself a lesson not to let it happen.
The lesson is for YOU: What will YOU do next time to make sure a conservative wins the election????
My wife and I will not vote for McAmnesty!
Wake Up America!!
Ginsburg, 74, has cancer...
Stevens, older than dirt...
These two are so waiting to retire its not even funny...If you want a younger version(s) of these two and possibly more to counter Alito, Roberts, Scalia and Thomas...
By all means, that will be a reality...
But then again, a liberal will be our next president...no matter how you slice that hunk of cheese...
Yes, it seems that Tom Delay has no problem turning the Government over to the Democrats, like he did in the 22nd district, when he deserted it and left it with no viable GOP candidate.
And this next Reagan is...?
And conservatives claim Liberals live in a fantasy world!
For all you griping, complaining Conservatives who state that you won't vote for McCain because he isn't a real conservative, there is a Party for you.
But I am sure you will find something wrong with their candidates as well.
You won't win any elections but you will feel good!
Now, that's an ENDORSEMENT that all conservatives should be giving McRino.............
Need I go on?
You don't have to vote out of fear for anything, it is from realism.
Either McCain or the Democrat is going to be the President and that is the reality of the situation.
That is why the 'super' Conservatives are now finding excuses to justify a Democrat being in the White House.
You will notice the difference on the WOT and on who gets nominated for the Supreme Court.
But lets just live in the fantasy of the perfect conservative utopia and ignore the real world.
Gee, I wonder why they threw Delay out of office? It’s starting to make more sense now. They didn’t want a staunch conservative in DC. Delay was booted before SHAMNESTY.
They always got their plans up their sleeves, FV. Always.
Any more defeats and losses you would like to heap upon the Republic?
I hear ya! But I've discovered McCain's not a RINO!! He's a CONTRA CONSERVATIVE!!! (he's also contra-constitutional, just like our Governor Schwartzenswindler!)
But, frankly, I have to ask: Would they be any worse than McCain? This is a serious question.
McCain would stand by the troops in Iraq, of course. But I suspect Obama and Hillary would do the same -- neither wants to be the author of a defeat. It's not a certainty, but it's reason to consider.
Aside from that, let's agree that McCain isn't a conservative. He may harbor some conservative notions, but he is assuredly not a conservative.
As evidence, nobody who put their name on McCain-Feingold or McCain-Kennedy can possibly be a conservative.
At the same time, McCain's political history is that he's disloyal, opportunistic and, thus, untrustworthy.
So, when he claims that he will do conservative things, should we believe him?
More likely, he'll "reach out" to the Democrats, just like he always has...and enact liberal legislation. Just like Hillary and Obama would've done.
He says he will appoint strict constructionist judges. But such judges would, in all liklihood, rule that McCain-Feingold is an unconstitutional infringement on our First Amendment rights. So, would McCain really do that to what he considers his signature piece of legislation?
What I'll do on Election Day isn't set in stone. With almost nine months to go, it doesn't have to be. I'm not inclined to want Hillary or Obama in the White House. But I'm not inclined to want John McCain there, either.
McCain has 8-plus months to convince me otherwise. I'm not giving him my support without his having earned it.
