The GOP has proved definitively that it will not stick with conservatism on principle. So, the only way I can see to get them back to where we need to be is to force the issue by withholding my vote.

Of course, that's a bit delusional. The people who don't vote might well be sending message, but it's impossible to discern.

It might be, "I don't care about politics." It might be, "I was drunk and I forgot." There are a million reasons for not voting, but sending a message isn't one of them if it's impossible to know what the message is.
