Our old stomping grounds, thank God. I’ve lived through enough events like that to last me a lifetime. The last winter we were there, it snowed like that two weekends in a row; got 11 FEET in Jan alone.
This lake effect event (as it’s called) is a direct result of the bitter cold. The larger the difference between the the lake temps and air temp, the greater the lake effect snowfall.
