Good. That makes three I know of, and maybe four by tomorrow. Be careful with the rocks: if that gets loose they would not be happy with the windshield. :)

I stopped for gas in the small town of White River, Ontario (north of Lake Superior),..

The coldest I have ever been was standing near the shore of Lake Superior in snow shoes. The one thing I really remember about that was that all you saw was white. The Lake was white, the Sky was white, the Ground was white and the Air was white with snow falling.

Excerpt from the Scotsman article you linked.

Temperatures in Saudi Arabia reached their lowest point in 30 years this week..

So, 30 year lows in Saudi Arabia. How can this be if Global Warming is occurring ?

Good plan...they really are the answer to the cold problems and don’t cost a lot to buy and install. I suspect you can get one installed for less than $200. The cool thing is, when you start the engine you already have slightly warm air circulating - no frost on windshield. They are a lot better for engine life as well.

I used to have a Ford F-350 diesel with two engine heaters; one in the oil pan and one in the water jacket...that was really nice.

Stay warm and cheers from Salmon

Thanks. I just woke up to -9 F. The morning forecast calls for highs in the single digits today. My son is sick this morning, so I won't have to fire up the F-150. Stay warm!
