“Imagine if, after all the losses caused by such an event, a jihadist organization were to claim responsibility for (starting) the forest fires,” the writer said. “You can hardly begin to imagine the level of the fear that would take hold of people in the United States, in Europe, in Russia, and in Australia.”

More importantly - which side would the wacko environmentalists take?

Easy to pull off here. Real easy, and would quickly overwhelm our capacity to contain and extinguish them..

Southern California would be especially vulnerable to such a threat during the Santa Ana wind season in the fall.

In 1978, an arsonist using a home-made firebomb consisting of a Dixie cup, a cigarette, and a book of matches ignited a fire in the bushes behind a shopping mall in Agoura, a town west of Los Angeles. The fire burned all the way to the Pacific Ocean, more than 10 miles away, and consumed dozens of structures. If weather conditions are right, just a handful of arsonists could cause catastrophic devastation.

Abu Musab Al-Suri, Abu Thar Al-Kuwaiti

This is a little off topic, but it seems like these bozos have a formula for their Jihadi name. Like the porn name formula.

There have been a LOT of fires in the past couple of years, Colorado, California, New Mexico etc. When we wondered about, and warned that it wouldn’t be difficult for terrorists to use forest fires, certain people on this site and several other sites called us “Alarmists”. Now, those people are just Dumbasses.

Aesthetics aside, the forest fire danger was mentioned right after WTC911, but next to nothing preemptive has been done such as cutting fire break roads every mile.

Abu Musab Al-Suri, Abu Thar Al-Kuwaiti

If you're curious, the names mean "father of Musab the Syrian" & "father of Thar the Kuwaiti". Thar means revenge.

Each state should have 10 to 20 C-130 made for fighting fires.

They could all work together when needed.

The fed could have some loaners for any state that need them.

Old 747 would be cool to watch drop water too.

You can hardly begin to imagine the level of the fear that would take hold of people in the United States, in Europe, in Russia, and in Australia.” We have to make these people clearly understand that it won't be fear that will take hold. It will be rage, and they will be the target. Our error is that we have not already made that clear.

Interesting, I have a comment and a question.

Usually, when I go out in the woods, I either carry a 357 Magnum or a snub nose 44 Remington Magnum revolver. I hope that the jihadist understand that starting a forest fire in most places is a felony and in many places one is allowed to use deadly force to stop a felony. As always it is important that one understand the firearms laws of where one takes a firearm.

Now for the question mixed in with a comment. I has been a long time since I last read my insurance policy, but I think (hopefully someone can explain otherwise) that a forest fire started by enemy combatants (i.e. terrorists) might nullify any fire insurance claim someone had. If that is the case, I sincerely hope that any jihadist is just called an arsonist by Homeland Security and the local authorities.

I think that the fires in Greece last year might have been what really got terrorists attention.

The reason it hasn’t been made “clear” is because we are too nicey, nicey. The American people have to get pissed. When that happens all the muslims will leave.....one way or another.
