Why ARE we honoring MLK when we now know he was a plagiarist and was repeatedly unfaithful to his wife? Is MLK the first affirmative action figure in US history?

If we dissect the private lives of our leaders and discarded them for their flaws, we would shortly have no leaders at all. Good people can do bad things and still be worthy of honor.

Wonderful insight. I thought common sense and humor had been wiped out of this once great site but this post makes me think there might be some life left in the old beast.

I think a careful, honest reading of Dr. Paul's writings or comments on MLK would reveal that he is consistent in praising Dr. King's virtues and in criticizing his flaws. This is not flip-floping. Its just dealing with the complexities of human behavior.

And such is/was the rationalization of Clinton-freaks.
