In an article earlier today:

"Today is the 13th day of an ongoing search for four children who police say were thrown from the Dauphin Island bridge by their father. Searchers are still trying to recover the remaining missing girl, 2-year-old Hannah Luong."

"The bodies of her three siblings, three year old Ryan Phan, one year old Lindsey Luong, and four month old Danny Luong, have already been found. Reverend Vo, says the family is waiting for the discovery of Hannah body before holding a memorial service."

" Police say 37-year-old Lam Luong confessed to throwing the four children from the bridge January 7 as an act of revenge against Phan."

Poor little babies. Their father is a monster. I can’t imagine how anyone could do such a horrible thing, especially to their own children.

The tightknit community has really been hit hard. Bayou La Batre is still reeling from Katrina. Five plots in a local cemetary have been donated so the mother can take her final rest next to her children.

If it's the same child, the body drifted quite a distance.

As they have recovered each child’s body, it has been farther and farther west. Strong winds and currents over 13 days.

The whole incident is so SAD. The song is excellent, however. Hope that gets on a record somewhere. Shades of old time ballads.

This is awful. The news has been full of stuff like this lately; five bodies in a submerged car, people disappearing for no reason, kids being killed left and right.

Our justice system needs to come down harder on people who do such things. Pleas of insanity need to stop.

The gift of the cemetery plots, including one for the mother, was tremendous. The dedication of local law enforcement, search and recovery personnel and community volunteers has been outstanding. Their hearts have been 100% involved in recovering these children and returning their bodies to their mother.

Many had to pull away from the search effort to work the crowds for Mardi Gras, and that was not easy for them. It has been a long 13 days for everyone and kind of makes beads and moonpies seem very insignificant.

An incredible feat to locate 4 tiny bodies in so very much water. I send praise and thanks to God for everyone involved in the search and bringing these babies back to their mother.

Yes, the Coast Guard found the last baby in LA earlier this evening....this has been a heart breaker for the community....and it seems as everyone knows someone who knows this family....I just prayed that they would find the last baby - it was killing me and everyone else in Mobile that that last little girl was out there.....thank goodness she’s been found....

It just hit me as I watched one of the news video that their preacher, Rev. Phi Vo, could probably use our prayers as he ministers to this family. He has also been a media contact and will be presiding over the memorial.

Has turned out to be quite a prayerful weekend for me. I have been lifting Fred and Jeri Thompson in prayer this weekend. Early this moring we found out that Rick Burgess' (radio personality of Rick and Bubba) 2 year old son had accidentally drown in the family swimming pool and later in the morning, prayers were answered (it appears) when the last body was found.
