A bit of trivia:
A young man named Marion Morrison went to work as a carpenter in Hollywood. He worked building sets for the movies.
He met an old guy who'd been hired as a consultant for western movies. When they were filming and he didn't have a whole lot to do he had many conversations with the old "consultant".
Later when he was "in font of the camera" making western movies as John Wayne he relied on the advice he garnered from his talks.
He said once that he tried to pattern his cowboy characters based on his talks with that old "movie consultant".
The old "consultants" name.......
None other than.....
Wyatt Earp
True story.

Get out? For real? I can't see Wyatt Earp in Hollywood, for some reason. Wyatt Earp passed away in 1929. Among the pallbearers at his funeral were some of the greatest cowboy stars of that era including Tom Mix.
Mr. Earp was in great demand in the 20th century. He refereed prize fights in Madison Square Garden among other things.
He spent a lot of time in Hollywood.
He also like nice automobiles.

Yea, back then the commie hadn't taken over hollyweird yet. Hollywood was very anti-communist up till the 60's
