This debate will never end. As long as you know that from the moment of conception what is developing is a human being that will be born as an innocent infant, there is no reason for abortion (99.5% of the time)other than selfishness. The future of any society is it’s children, and when you allow them to be slaughtered on a whim, your society has no future.

I don't see RvW being overturned unless it is thrown back to the states (highly doubtful). The pro-choicers will fight any of it tooth and nail. I read an interesting discussion on that possible scenario on the Eastern Orthodox newgroups (orthodox generally oppose abortion). In essense, they were saying if it is thrown back to the states, women would just go to another state to procure an abortion or use the/an unsafe, illegal method. I suspect some are still going the illegal route as it is.
Good to see more people becoming pro life though.

Some of us were raised on the debate. I remember it being the hot topic for research papers and debate class in HS. This is an irreconcilable issue.

I don't recall a debate on Abortion. Not one that mattered, anyway.
The whole "debate" took place in the offices of nine men in Washington DC, and at the end, 7 of them overruled the other 2 and that was that.
The opinions of tens of millions of citizens were irrelevant, as were the laws of states that outlawed it. What was a crime the prior day was converted into a "right" the next day.
From that point on, the debate had ended.

This debate, the abortion debate, has so far clouded at least four presidential elections — and to NO EFFECT, whatsoever! And, guess what? It’s back again! And again, to no purpose!

According to Tilley, "What we know about abstinence-until-marriage education is that it doesn't work." Eighty percent. of the abortions are obtained by unmarried women because of abstenence education? Sounds like she is saying that. More likely, contraception doesn't work except for the morning after pill which is a method of abortion. Black leaders need to wake up: their community is not growing either in percentage of numbers or wealth, because the men won't marry or stay married to black women. Not only is bastardy a plague, but STDs are spreading rapidly, encouraged by the notion spread by Planned Parenthood and society in general that "free love" is a viable option.

Is it alive? Yes.
Is it of the species homo sapiens? Yes.
Then it’s one of us and as entitled to protection as we are.
End of argument.

Much of their energy, Tilley said, is spent expanding access and information about contraception and advocating for laws that support choice. "The Supreme Court has always upheld that women's health must be the paramount consideration," Tilley said. "The latest findings have not stuck to that standard."
A federal ban on abortions during the second trimester of pregnancy was upheld in April 2007. Planned Parenthood subsequently denounced the decision, saying it made no allowances for women's health.
The underlying contention is that a pregnancy is a great risk to a woman's physical health. But an abortion in a clinic is just as risky as a full-term pregnancy.
