You are right, and I wish more people would listen. I'm under treatment for lung cancer for the second time, and am fortunate that it has not metastasized. I smoked for 35 years, and quit with my first diagnosis in 1998. My husband quit then, too.

Believe it or not, my daughter and son-in-law are still smoking and his mom died of lung cancer and my daughter is an RN on an oncology unit.

As Yul Brynner said before he died of lung cancer, "Don't ever smoke, and if you smoke, quit." I can't agree with him more.

My brother quit smoking just before midnight of his 25th birthday. He saved enough money by not buying cigarettes to buy a car. I’m sure now with the increased taxation plus litigation money, one could afford to buy an even better car by quitting smoking.
