Don't know about the rest of the Freepers but I'm not voting for McCain under any circumstances.

I’m not voting for Huckabee under any circumstances. I can hold my nose and vote for McCain if he fully embraces conservatism but the man of 1000 pardons can not be President.
I’m 100% behind Fred Thompson. We need to bring down Huckabee.
I’m personally thinking about a third party. I’m so fn tired of Republican light. We need to lead by conservative principles not liberal principles. We need to stop letting them set the rules of engagement. Huckabee, Romney, and McCain do not seem to understand that. There are ways to talk about the plight of the common man without resorting to class warfare. It is called leadership not entertainment. (I know some of you don’t seem to grasp the difference.)

If goes down to the wire and it's just him vs. Hillary, he's got my vote....but that's the ONLY way it can happen.

Add to this enormous number of reason to oppose this man the ‘Taboo’ subject of his age and health. Watch him walk and that lump on the left side of his face sure looks ominous to me.

Has his medical history been adequately disclosed? If so, I’ve not seen or heard about it.

When John McCain climbed into bed with Teddy K. on amnesty for illegal aliens is when I decided not to support him. The very thought of him and Teddy in bed together sent me to therapy.

I’m with you. I’ll write in Fred Thompson and watch the GOP go under. Maybe they’ll come back in 2012 with better candidates, maybe it won’t matter by then. I’m tired of fighting.

After the ordeal in 2000 with Bush and the disappointment that followed on so many levels, especially not being able to keep the lead in the House and Senate, I’m done.

The problem with the GOP is that it no longer is the party of conservatism. Thus, we can no longer expect that a true conservative will have a chance at gatting the national nomination.

That was true in 2000 aqnd 2004, because GWB was not and is not a conservative. It was true in 1996 with Dole. And it will be true in 2008 because the only two conservatives running are Duncan Hunter (who just dropped out) and Fred Thompson, who is floundering, and will not come anywhere close to getting the nomination (the fact he did so poorly in SC, a state he should have carried handily, speaks volumes about the “conservative” nature of the GOP).

Thus, we are guaranteed a RINO gets the nomination; in which case, the only hope for this country is that enough people show up at the voting booth in November to vote AGAINST the Dim candidate (who will be either a stalinist — Hildabeast; or a marxist — Obambi), and with clothespins on their noses, pull the lever for the RINO.

I do not want a RINO as president, but I would reluctantly accept one if it meant keeping either of the two Dims out of the White House. Because — and let’s be candid about it — if Hildabeast wins the White House, there will be a civil war; if Obambi wins the White House, there will anarchy.

I agree with you 100%. The only “Republican” that scares me more than McPain is Huck.

Post #41 ... doesn’t the Supreme Court matter? Presidents come and go.

I hear you, Guns. Loud and clear. God Help us if Republican primary voters forget McCain's repeated and belligerent betrayal of conservative ideals and choose him as their candidate.

I think that McCain's place at the top is a momentary thing. Once we get to the real Republican primaries, in which liberal "independents" cannot vote and screw around with our nominating process, he will fade away into obscurity (I hope I'm correct). And then he and Lindsey Graham can give each other blow-jobs (I can't believe I just wrote that) and call each other statesmen until the day they die.

Now I am going to go and wash my mouth out with soap and run my hands under scalding water as punishment for my unChristian commentary....

I’m calling it the great American B’ch In.

I’m sick of RINO’s carrying the water for the minority hard core leftists...and getting beatin up for it. (Amnesty, No Child Left Behind....). Time for this crap to end. They survive off a false dichonomy “the party of the people vs. the elitist GOP”.

Nope time for the squishy middle to experience the total lack of real moral equivilence.

I’m voting for Hillary, by the time she’s done the DNC and GOP Moderates will be toast...or we all will.
