What if the choice were between HUckabee and McCain? At least Huckabee is pro-life and pr-Second Amendment. Huckabee isn’t my first, second or third choice - I am well aware of all his foibles, but John McCain is a totally despicable character who will never get my vote. If he gets nominated, I go third party and hope he loses in the general election.

He is one of the vipers in Congress who drove GWB to the left and did everything he could undermine whatever conservative agenda the Republicans at temped to put through - regardless of how weak-spirited.

I view them both as despicable, but Huckabee is PERSONALLY descipable to me as a hypocrite of the first order while McCain is merely despicable for his policy positions. McCain is also dispositionally unqualified to be President as he is unstable and volatile in the extreme.

I could not take upon myself any responsibility for electing either of these men, nor any of the Democrats. Either I’ll be voting for whoever the Conservative party in my state nominates (right now that’s Fred Thompson) or I’ll stay home. If the Conservative Party holds with Fred, I’ll be fine.

Why is everyone still including Huckabee? He’s finished. Right now he’s limped back to Arkansas and his next stop is in Texas...not Florida. What does that tell you?

All he’s doing is strategizing to gain a few delegates in southern states. He’s no longer a contender for the nomination.

(I’ve predicted all along he will eventually “lead” an evangelical exit from the GOP. There’s a lifetime of $$$ to be had there.)
