I am genuinely open to suggestions

When this campaign started last year, I (and many here) knew that national security was my firewall---a candidate had to get past that before we would even consider his other issues.

Along the way I got pulled here and there on immigration, judges, economic plans, etc. But Fred's withdrawal made me remember my early conviction. Security is the firewall...and no Dem gets anywhere close.

Now I'm coming around to supporting whoever the party nominates. Hillary and Obama will dangerously abandon national security so they can promote their domestic agenda. That's a risk I'm not willing to take. It may not be inspiring, but I'm being true to myself when I realize I have to put country before my personal ideology. At least there's that comfort.

We have caught a break on that score. Our Islamo-fascist foes have NYC as target #1 and DC as target #2. If given a chance they will strike again. The next President lives in target #2. That should give the next President some motivation not to drop the ball that badly--or to learn from their mistakes quickly.
