Close to All Precincts Reporting, Romney Ran Away With Nevada
The Campaign Spot ^ | 01/19/2008 | JIM GERAGHTY

Posted on 01/19/2008 4:39:28 PM PST by Checkers

Only 83 precincts remaining to report in Nevada Republican caucuses (out of 1789 total), so we shouldn't see too much variance from these figures: Romney 52 percent, Ron Paul and John McCain at 13 percent, Thompson and Huckabee at 8 percent, Rudy Giuliani 4 percent, Duncan Hunter 2 percent.

UPDATE: CNN is now projecting delegates - I'm wondering if they're making the mistake I made earlier thinking it was a straight proportional system, or whether they've accounted for the who-wins-congressional-districts rules...

Anyway, they have Hillary winning 13 delegates, Obama winning 12...

On the Republican side, Romney 16, Paul and McCain 3 each, Thompson and Huckabee 2 each.

“Lost what? He’s doin’ fine.

He’s got enough money to go beyond Fl. and the donations have stopped, either.

YOU deal with it.”

You’ve been smokin’ some of Obama’s stash, haven’t you?

Fess up.

KMA. I’ve been a Conservative for over 40 years, voted GOP in 9 POTUS elections.

Maybe, since you know DU so well, you should go back.

Also interesting that Mitt has continued to pull the republican vote. McCain won NH strictly on independents.

“You’re naive.”

Who’s being naive?

You’re the one who doesn’t think Fred is done.

You know, the Liberal one where when they run out of ideas they use insults...”

Oh, I understand now. You’re a mtyh rotten supporter.

That explains your idiocy. Isn’t there a village in Utah looking for you?

From an AP story:"Obama, who won the kickoff Iowa caucuses less than a month ago, issued a statement that said he had conducted an "honest, uplifting campaign ... that appealed to people's hopes instead of their fears."

His campaign manager, David Plouffe, was far more pointed in a written statement that accused the Clinton campaign of "an entire week's worth of false, divisive attacks designed to mislead caucus-goers and discredit the caucus itself."

Clinton declined to comment on the allegation.

I can't wait until they campaign together in the fall. lol

“Ergo, a dummy will win.”

Romney’s no dummy.
He’s a smart, rich and talented phony. Maybe he thinks we sheep aren’t able to handle the truth. And judging by the voters reaction to Mike and Fred, Mitt might be right.

I can’t disagree with your assessment. I don’t think myth is stupid, far from it.

But, if he’s the nom, we lose. In fact, if FRed doesn’t win, we lose, the dummies win.

I’ve been a Conservative for over 40 years, voted GOP in 9 POTUS elections.

Well, let’s face facts. I have been voting GOP since 1972. And the FACT is, I have only been able to vote for ONE true Conservative - Ronald Reagan. Unfortunately, Reagan can’t run again so I’m left with only a few choices. I have to ask myself each time, is this guy worthy of my vote, and can he win.

I think Mitt can beat the Beast.

You should vote for the one you believe in, not the one that you believe can win. That’s just my opinion.

Mitt is undeniably prettier than the wife of the "Rapist in Chief", but can he win the votes of the booboisie against her? I'm bettin' not.

Yeah, it is all a big Mormon conspiracy because the results are not what you want. It was a vast Mormon wing conspiracy. You and Hillary are soul mates.

Well said Checkers. I never would have beleived that so many idiots could be willing to show how dumb they are with their lame arguments, but in reality, they are just acting like spoilled children who refurse to beleive that the world is not exactly like their mommy’s said it would be.

Wow, that is amazing that Ronald Reagan was the only true conservative. RR was sympatheitc to homosexuals and he was for abortion before he was against it. Sounds just like Mitt to me. And, if there truly ever has been only one conservative, then it might as well tell you that your definition of a conservative is a myth and a fairy tale so you ought to start facing reality.

Your one to call someone an idiot. Voting for Fred no matter what because he was on a TV show probably and he never did squat as a senator except chase skirts and smoke cigars. Boy, you are a smart one. But hey, Fred has to be truly conservative because he says he is and since he is an actor tied to Hollywood and Hollywood people, there is no way he could ever lie or anything. Are you hoping that Gilligan will run as Fred’s first mate?

Nobody was stopping non-Mormons from going to the polls. If they don’t like the results, they have no one to blame but themselves for the exceptionally high percentage of Mormons who got off their duffs and got to the polls vs. the low percentage of non-Mormons.
