I use it when it applies and not when it does not.
You made a wild-ass claim unsupported by facts, not expecting to be called on it. When you were called on it, you posted a link, apparently not thinking anyone would check it. It doesn't support your claim at all. When you were called on THAT, you made up some other story about what you "heard" on TV.
I know you don't like being called on it--your behavior makes that clear. But there it is.
I was caught making an incorrect statement but if you do it on purpose it is a lie. If you do it out of not remembering where you heard the source and perhaps hearing it from another person and not Fred does not necessarily mean a lie...can’t it be a brain fart?
