Curious, but McCain pretty much fits this description too. His irrational mood swings and rages, his basic inchoherents and stumbling stuttering speech patterns make one wonder if he isn't suffering from Alzheimer's.I don't know how anyone can possibly claim that the media isn't annointing the republican candidate when McCain comes across as a freekin' lunatic.
People - republicans included - simply pull the lever for the name they hear most often, and the media decides who gets mentioned.

starting out like a funeral dirge.

I wonder if in 20 years GWB will indeed be thought of on the parallels of Reagan. Bush has not been a perfect president, of course, but I am proud to have voted for him twice. The next 4-8 years will probably be crap, presidentially speaking.

Somehow this feels like the 1945 Khaki election in Britain.
Turning aside Churchill for Clement Atlee? Puke.

Fred is still far ahead of Rudy and Rudy has not dropped out yet.
I hope he stays with us. We have no idea what could happen in the next couple of weeks.
