FaceBooks new GREENBOOK reduces CO2 emissions....

FROM FACEBOOK....

Calculations

Each month we use funds generated through sponsorship to purchase an amount of CO2 reduction.

For example, 15,000 lbs.

Each day we'll give some of that amount out to everyone who's added Greenbook.

15,000 lbs / 30 days = 500 lbs/day

Every user gets a fraction of the daily amount, based on how many users we have.

500 lbs/day / 1000 users = 0.5 lbs/day/user.

This is called a 'Nightly Update'. So basically, just by keeping Greenbook installed, you are earning CO2 reductions. You have the option of reducing more CO2 than just from the Nightly Updates.

The more users we get the bigger amount we'll be able to purchase when we start the next month and go back to step 1.

Basically, the gist of it is: Every day, as someone who's added Greenbook, you get some CO2 reduction which means you'll be doing your part in helping the environment in one other way!

Okay....this is HILARIOUS. Facebook has a new GREENBOOK that's been developed that allows users to add the application to their facebooks, and SAVE CO2 emissions....an idiot is born every day....and our niece is one of them, as I found this on her facebook, which she doesn't know that I read..

Yeah, that’s ‘green’ power alright - the green of money. Geeze, why didn’t I think about this? Oh, right, I’ve some values left... Dang it.

You go to a wind farm, you say ‘Hey, I’ll give you a split of what I make if you let me sell the ‘environmental impact’ of your wind farm. You still get the same increased money and kickbacks from the state and feds, plus you get a little creme on the top as well. How about it?’

Meanwhile, company B is selling the ‘wind energy’ that the farm is generating, again giving them a little cream on the top while they’re taking money from the utilities, and the second company is piggybacking on the utility meter charging more for the ‘green’ energy.

I wonder how many times they stack it? It’d be so easy for varied accounting methods to sell the same impact (while at the same time helping the main utility in the area keep up with mandated ‘green energy’ production levels). You think by the end that at this point, probably four people are claiming the same ‘carbon credits’?

What a shell game, and the greenies are eating it up.

Shut down your servers.

This is the biggest load of crap ever.
It’s just like purchasing CO2 “credits”.
Or infidelity credits for that matter.

If these morons want to reduce their “carbon footprint” they would turn off their computers when they’re not using them instead of install some worthless software which is probably really just spyware.

Instead they ought to install the SETI@home software if they want to do something useful while their computers idle.

What idiocy. Everyone knows that man/mammals exhale 99% plus of the CO2. Quit breathing? We should be so lucky. Are there 2 kinds of co2? three kinds? Idiocy!!

This is crazy…. This should be the final proof that any reasonable person needs that the ‘green movement’ is really one giant pyramid scheme… but hey, good for Al he thought of it first, or at least capitalized on peoples stupidity the most. And through some good fashion capitalism has made a ton of money.

The human body is a nominal 100 watt device fueled by oxidation of hydrocarbons. This means your existential carbon imprint is about the same as a 100 watt light bulb.

I wish there was a way to post on the GREENBOOK application, but you have to ADD it, as far as I can tell....unless one of you can figure it out. I have an account on Facebook so I can monitor relatives....heheheheheh
