LOL, I don't know if we can make the connection, but I can't dismiss it outright. I think it's more to blame on poor education, a penchant for text message shorthand (yes, I know I used it at the start of this post) and just plain old laziness on the part of the writer to get it right.

I edit a national magazine and write professionally. I've even won awards for comedy writing. And you know what? I think the only difference between Ron Paul and a bag of dog crap is the bag.
