Huckabee's own website contradicts him. "I firmly believe that the Constitution must be interpreted according to its original meaning, and flatly reject the notion of a “living Constitution.”"

I suspect Huckabee has no strong feelings on the Constitution or strict construction. I suppose the only thing he feels strongly about is that Mike Huckabee should be President of the United States, and does not concern himself much with the "why".

Well, since the Constitution is "living and breathing", I guess it will not have to be amended in order to bring it into compliance with God's law. That should be a real time saver, once President Huckabee assumes office.
