January 17, 2008 Child Abuse: British Jihad Supporters Using Kids to Incite Terror Earlier today I mentioned that the second edition of The Combating Terrorism Center at West Point's Sentinal magazine had come out. Yeah, I know this is the third time I'm mentioning it, but this is just too depressing to not comment on.

Check out this little tidbit from James Brandon's "The Changing Face of Salafi-Jihadi" Movements. He's describing followers of Omar Bakri Mohammed, and seems to be talking about a number of them in the London suburb of Luton, when he writes this (pdf):

...[O]ne mosque has apparently circumvented laws against incitement by using child imams who cannot be prosecuted as they are below the legal age of responsibility. In autumn 2007, one such child imam lectured worshipers on the injustices suffered by Muslims held in prison on anti-terror laws before calling on the congrgation to "resist" the British government" [emphasis mine] How does Brandon know this? The footnote tells readers that he personally witnessed the child speaking in October 2007.

The context of the child urging Muslims to "resist the British government" is important here. Brandon argues that jihadis in the UK are learning to phrase their pro-terror messages in ambiguous terms so as not to draw attention from the authorities, while at the same time the listener would be crystal clear on the message.

Using children to deliver the messages that adults are now afraid to deliver is another such tactic.

Given what we know of the jihadis willingness to use children as suicide bombers and human shields, it should come as no surprise that they would use children to incite terrorism.

Maybe the child can't be prosecuted, but what about their parents? Don't you have child abuse laws on your side of the pond?

Just one more way in which our philosophy is different than theirs. As Osama bin Laden reminded us, "You love life, we love only death." True indeed.

Add to that that we love our children, and you see yours as tools of death only.

Case in point: This picture posted by American al Qaeda fan, and fellow traveler with Omar Bakri Mohammed's minions, Samir Khan (aka, Inshallahshaheed) of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Samir captions it:

This is a picture of a Palestinian mother stepping on the corpse of her son who betrayed the Muslims by helping the Israelis.

If all mothers were like this,

Our lands would be liberated in no time.

Isn't this culture of death sad? A culture which destroys the natural bond of mother to child.

I'm sure that this Palestinian mother didn't want to desecrate the body of her murdered son. But if she didn't put on this display, she'd probably be labeled a collaborater herself. And she may have other children. Sad.

But it's just sickening that the Salafi jihadis, like Samir Khan, celebrate her vile act.

Here's a final visual that I'll let serve as a last thought. An old friend at a forum I once helped operate but which has been subsequently taken over by the jihadis uses it as his avatar. Thanks Lucky Luciano.
