Another guy wanting to claim a virtual endorsement for Thompson from Rush, who has clearly and articulately stated why he doesn’t and won’t endorse anybody, and has also clearly and articulately stated that he would find THREE candidates as acceptable.

Frankly, at some point, trying to force your views on Rush, when he clearly will not do so himself, is disrespectful.

um, Charles. Route66 merely posted an article by Chris Davis of the National Ledger. He did not “force (his) views on Rush”. He posted an interesting article that he wanted to share. Are you, like John McCain, wishing to take away first amendment rights (on FR to boot)?

Those of you who do not listen to Rush on a regular basis have NO business making comments on what he means by what he has said on many occasions. Anyone listening on a daily basis would not make the statement that you made. I listen EVERY DAY and it is clear who he would like to see get the nod... and it is also clear who he would and would not endorse ever. True ditto heads KNOW the truth.

UNLESS...you are a former owner of a venture capital firm who has just purchased Clear Channel Communications, the largest radio station owner in the country, and of course one could NEVER suggest you would have ANY INFLUENCE on policies of your former firm, who coincidentally has a wholly owned subsidiary of Clear Channel, Premiere Radio Networks, which is the largest syndication company in the United States, and is home to Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and many others. Sean Hannity recently signed a large multi-market contract with Clear Channel, as well.

The fact that you are running for the nomination for POTUS, and if elected would be a powerful "friend" in Washington, (think FCC) would never enter into it. /sarc

A FR thread on the buyout here:

Mitt Romney's VC Firm to Buy Clear Channel

As a poster on the linked thread said, "So much for Rush."
