It is still the case. It is just not as simple as the message always being from one source/gene/location on a chromosome. The source code is still the same, exactly as I described it. Open reading frames is still the operative concept, they just do not exist as contiguous units always.
What is the translation of this new ‘code’ if it is indeed a code in the same context?
