The more that you conflate Creationism with Geocentricism the better as far as I am concerned. Let everyone know the caliber of Science that you and other Creationists find convincing. Advertise to the world that Creationists not only believe things sillier than most people imagine; they believe things sillier than most people are CAPABLE of imagining.
Ahhhhh. GGG. You are truly a Prince among Creationists. I wish they were all as forthcoming as you about their intractable and antiquated views. I wish I could wish you as much good luck with your campaign to discount the H.I.V./A.I.D.S. connection as well; but some nutters might actually take you serious on that, and THAT would have consequences; while believing the earth is the center of the universe is harmless and amuses me to no end.
You should have read before responding. If and when you do read the articles, you will be embarrassed at your own stupidity (if you are intelligent and honest enough).
No need for me to keep them coming, AMD. God’s handywork, as described by a plain reading of Genesis, is built right into nature. If it is your policy to run from the God of the Bible, the last thing you would want to be is a scientist. All creation sings. Why on earth would you want to become a scientist if your whole life is devoted to ignoring the song?
PS As for HIV/AIDS, I find it fascinating that the same fanatical devotees to the Temple of Darwin on FR are also fanatically opposed to the notion that AIDS might be caused by human behavior. Instead, you guys have an an almost religious need to believe that we are “all at risk” from the “deadly virus.” Indeed, there were supposed to be hundreds of millions dead by the "deadly virus" by the turn of the century. Boy, that sure proved to be a flop of a prediction! What a bunch of losers...LOL.
It is not so surprising that the two ideas go together, and are advocated by the same folks. From Wiki:
Modern geocentrism is a belief currently held by certain groups that the Earth is the center of the universe and does not move. The prime motivating factor for the modern belief, as opposed to the geocentrism of Ptolemy, is explicitly religious.Advocates generally argue that literal interpretations of certain Biblical passages demand that the Earth be properly described as being the center of the universe. Alternatively, in the case of Catholic geocentrists, scripture authoritatively interpreted by statements of Church Fathers and various Popes is used to justify their belief, even though this viewpoint is no longer endorsed by the Church itself. The geocentrist view is contradicted by modern cosmology, and by the Copernican principle and the theory of general relativity, which together imply that the universe has no center.
Not geocentrism, but heliocentrism. And it would appear he is in full agreement with Copurnicus on this matter:
"We therefore assert that the center of the Earth, carrying the Moon's path, passes in a great circuit among the other planets in an annual revolution around the Sun; that near the Sun is the center of the Universe; and that whereas the Sun is at rest, any apparent motion of the Sun can be better explained by motion of the Earth."
--Copernicus, N., De Revolutionibus Orbium Caelestium, Johannes Petreius, Nuremberg, Book I, Chapter 10, 1543.
Thus, the name of Copernicus has been disengenously coopted by Darwinian Big Bangers, when in reality his work most closely resembles that of Creation cosmologists.
==while believing the earth is the center of the universe is harmless and amuses me to no end.
Humphrey’s biblically-based starting assumptions are no more ideological than the starting assumptions of the “Big Bang” model. You do know that the Big Bang model is based on Darwinist ideology, don’t you?
