COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina Lt. Governor André Bauer, a popular politician from an voter-valuable Republican stronghold, has endorsed the candidacy of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
Huckabee's recent endorsements have mostly come courtesy of C-list celebrity backers – the former governor is set to appear this afternoon with Chuck Norris and the wrestler Ric Flair, for example. However, Bauer's nod is surely a boost for the campaign, which has signed on few endorsements from sitting elected officials in the Palmetto State.

See, I think Andre Bauer is proof that regardless of their party affiliation, you should never elect anyone that strongly resembles Rudolf Hess to a public office. His main claim to fame in SC was having a Columbia police officer draw his weapon on him and order him to the ground, after the cop stopped him for doing 60+ in a 35 zone in downtown, and Bauer jumped out of his car and headed for the officer in full-on “do you know who the hell I am” mode.
And did I read right that David “Flag Flip-Flop” Weaseley has endorsed Huckabee as well? Talk about the kiss of death.

See #21. I wouldn’t call Bauer a “psychopath,” but he’s been pulled over a couple of times for speeding 100+ in his state-owned car and using the “but I’m the Lieutenant Governor” defense. He doesn’t show very good judgement a lot of the time, and to be honest, Mark Sanford deserves a lot better as his #2 IMO.

we'd watch Huckster go down in flames in the general election, and I'd be muttering to the broccoli-level-IQ fools who nominated the unqualified, unethical and unconservative Huckster, "see, I told you so!"

(Huckabee isn’t my first choice, but I thought maybe something new had come out about him.)
