Administrator: I have an emergency summons for you. You must go to the court right now.

Me: Do you have a gun?

Administrator: No.

Me: Do you know who I am?

Administrator: No.

Me: Goodbye. (Going on about my business.)

Probably not without a formal notice. The court is more then likely exceeding it’s authority.

I for one wouldn’t just stand around when some idiot court administrator grabs me in the streets. I may be older now, but I can still run the hundred yard dash pretty quickly, LOL.

Apparently there is. The Supreme Court has ruled that jury duty does not meet the definition of "Involuntary servitude" in the Constitution.
