Haley Barbour was RNC Chairman, just as Bush 41. That means a great deal. He was probably the best RNC Chair of recent times. He handled himself very well during the Hurricanes on the Gulf Coast, while the country watched, and has successfully rebuilt Mississippi while the rest of the Gulf Coast waited for help to come to them.

I don’t disagree with any of that, but what is his stand on the issues?
Isn’t he pro-amnesty and ultra soft on illegal immigration?
Doesn’t he out-McCain even John McCain?
He’s a non-starter for this reason alone.
