sinister? you've got to be kidding. she's probably got straight A's and practices her butt off.

i wonder what people like you would say if a runner was DQ'd for wearing a necklace with a cross on it that didn't conform to uniform standards.

I read about this earlier somewhere. The girl’s uniform did not conform to uniform regulations of the association that sanctioned the meet. Either she would have to conform or the meet would lose its sanction to the disadvantage of its sponsors and all the other competitors. The problem with the uniform she had on related to the color scheme, not the hijab and the long johns she was wearing. I suppose that had her coach or she inquired, she could easily have shown up wearing an outfit that suited the mohammedans and met the regulations, but evidently no one asked. I am sorry she did not get to compete, but she’ll get over it, and in the future will show up in something that meets expectations on the part of both the athletic association and herself. I wonder if the mohammedans will actually make much of a deal of it? The MSM naturally had to get right on this. If it had been Cindy Lou of Whoville wearing an outfit that did not conform to color regs, it wouldn’t even make the Whoville Gazette, but the victim was a member of a racial minority and a poor persecuted sect with only about a billion members, so it’s got to be milked by the press for all it’s worth until some rape, murder, fire or whatever captures their attention.

try wearing a cross that's visible in a recreational soccer youth league. Not likely. Try wearing anything with a Christian symbol on a shirt in UIL track event...not gonna happen. Only school uniforms allowed.

This is the legal jihad against our country. They gum up the works and have us fighting each other while they sit back and laugh.

Saw the picture of the girl.... I'm not worried that she'll "come to hate us". When her husband tells her to strap on the belt with C-4 and det cord to her kid...she'll do it and brag about it to all the other burkha babes at the mosque.

Oh yeah, she's part of the "moderate" muzzies that only want to subjugate us to islamic law.... not kill us, right?

How many Jewish wrestlers wear their yamika or get to move a meet so they don't fight on the sabbath.... er..none.

I've got a suggestion for the young muzzie.... the same one I have for the manatee...."Evolve, adapt or die". I don't want the young lady to die.... but I do want her to get out of the way of the motor boat and it's prop.... Just have her go back to her cave dwelling islamic culture and get her a$$ beaten like a good muzzie woman...... after she's circumcised .

Big deal. They are trying to get attention. More important issues.

I haven't seen anyone disqualified for wearing a cross, but I was photographing a high school track and field event and the girl that won the 100 meters was disqualified because they found out she had one of those belly button diamonds. UIL in Texas requires no jewelry. Her top caught in the breeze while she was running and a judge saw it.

High school athletic officials are pretty strict. I've seen players sent off for having visible tattoos (they have to be covered). Some players use Ace bandages for that. Sounds like the girl had been competing like this for quite a while, and ran into one jerk at an event.

The worst part about it is this is going to be preached about in Mosques for years, "The Infidels tried to get one of our young women to take off her clothes before competing in an athletic event!"

I have as much problem with Radical Islam as anyone, but when someone tries to mainstream while staying true to their faith, you'd think we could at least be reasonable. Since when did being modest become a problem?
