Why smack her down? Why give her reasons to want to turn away from us?

Yeah, can't have her turn towards us, Daddy may smack her down.

It is indoor track season. Cross-country is in the fall.

I took gymnastics for a while and the coach told me that trying to work out in the cold is counter-productive. When you’re cold, the body sends the blood to the internal organs to try to maintain body heat. When you’re exercising, your muscles are demanding increased blood flow to provide oxygen. He told me that working out when you’re cold can lead to muscle cramping.

I know that you can work up quite a sweat running, but still, the cold can have it’s effect.

Then they should bring back prayer in school and anyone who doesn’t want to pray doesn’t have to.

I sure wish your coach had been there to talk to our Sergeant Major when he was making us roll out of our warm beds at O'dark-30 in the morning for some "good old PT" on a cold and rainy day.

I really don’t understand why she refused their option. It sounds like she would have been covered enough.

That’s what makes me wonder what this is all about. Their reasonable option was refused and demands her own style. If the point is really about being covered and the officials offered something that allowed that and she still refused to go along with THEIR suggestion, then something’s up.

I’m suspicious.

Did she wear what was shown in the photos at Fox News?

Some girls' teams here wear body fitting track tops and shorts, rather then baggier ones. Buying baggy uniforms is what the school chooses, not track rules. I don't think it makes a bit a difference in performance at this level if the suits are tight or not, so if baggy is cheaper that may be what schools buy.

Also, how good a runner is she?

This is not suitable for a local school board’s authority. She a member of a DC high school team, competing in a meet in Maryland, which is sanctioned by the National Federation of State High School Associations and thus subject to the rules of that organization. I have a feeling the NFSHSA will be weighing in on this and coming up with a different answer than the meet director did.

Want to bet someone related to a meet official is someone whos lost to this girl before?

Something like this happened in my hometown. Not about this type of thing but a banning never heard of before and it turned out the main person banning was the uncle of one of the main competitors.

Yes! It is has an orange and blue asymmetrical pattern and a bubble to enclose her hair. I meant it when I said it was garish and distracting. She was the only girl from her school wearing the spandex.

She is one of the better runners in the area. She won three heats earlier in the day before losing to a baggy basic black uniform on the last race.

Just asking a question for the purpose of clarification here since you have actually seen her run. Does she wear her team’s track uniform over the full-body race-skin as the article seems to describe?

Follow the rules or stay home.
If she were really concerned about being a good muslim, she wouldn’t be attending school since she has a vagina....

No school track uniform today. Just the spandex.

In that case, I agree with you. Not having the loose clothing does give her an aerodynamic advantage and she should be required to wear what the rest of the competitors wear. If that was all she wanted to wear at this meet than I understand the official’s insistence. However, if she was willing to wear the team uniform (or the suggested t-shirt) over the race-skin I wouldn’t see a reason to not let her compete from the viewpoint of competitive fairness.

If I look at some of the body suits in olympic or world class meet photos I see multi-colored and bright suits. HS is certainly more conservative, but I don't find the coloring on the girl's suit in the photo to be extreme. The suit being in school colors is a factor in her favor as well. We have bright suits here as well, although in different color patterns like the pictures of this girl.

That said, a solid navy blue suit would cause less problems.

As a personal interjection, if she wears it for religious beliefs, then navy or black would be less conspicuous and more in line with it's purpose as well. I don't like the religion card being played for that reason.

I'd be interested in hearing if it is a tailor made suit, or one she purchased off the shelf.

I still don't think the meet director's decision is so cut and dried that it offsets the girl's not qualifying for a showcase meet. As I posted above, I seen too much BS to think meet directors are the the epitome of objectivity, so I'll admit that that prejudice influences my opinion in this case.

Thanks for the on site reports. I hope whoever you were there to watch was successful.

I guess people are just getting tired of their muzzlim bullsh#t.

whining about being a victim, but blowing up women and children.

whining about Palestinian homeland, but when they're given something...they promptly start bombing and killing again.

whining about no commerce, industry or infrastructure...but when the Israelis left them a solar powered factory, they ripped it up and sold the wire for scrap.

whining about how great they were and how the west is built on the "theories" and "sciences" they developed.... but so stupid that one American company has as many patents in ONE year as all the muslim countries combined have in 10 years multiplied by 100.

IBM alone over the last 12 years has about 16000 patents. So where are all the great muzzie minds? Let's see...they're reverse engineering weapons that the russians, koreans, chinese and french allowed them to get a hold of. Coming up with great engineering feats like the spring and winter offerings for suicide belts and really getting busy on the IED technology.

basically the muzzies are a relic.... albeit dangerous relic of the past. Like finding a community of cave dwellers that are unleashed among civilized peoples....

the only problem with them is that they have lots of cash and opposable thumbs that allow them to use guns, cell phones and video cameras. If we could just keep them interested in cocaine and 15 year old blonde women and skinny boys like their leaders are , we'd all be a lot safer.
