She thinks he was in it for the money.

That's my impression...I look forward to reading Debbie Schlussel's comments. Thanks for the link!

Bush doesn't surprise me, but Hunter does.

Well, it's going to be hard for him to get a reference from

Hon. Benazir Bhutto
Fm Prime Minister Pakistan

Uh, Ron Paul is VERY strong on border security.
For example, see http://www.ontheissues.org/TX/Ron_Paul_Immigration.htm and

Here's a working link.

A candidate for President and a former President have been referenced as a reference on the website of an accused terrorist supporter.

This thread just has to be restored to 'Breaking News' status. /sarcasm

Cute pic. :-)

She thinks he was in it for the money.

So is the whole book thing totally a scam??? I was under the impression that he actually WAS publishing the book. Perhaps it's not a lie that he was writing the book, but that he was using the story about writing it to launder the money?

FWIW, here's an interesting thing from the GSI website..."Compensation Policy":

Global Strategies Inc. – Three Phase Compensation Structure

The key component of GSI's strategic services is its unparalleled relationships with the world's top political and business leaders built over 26 years in business. This commodity, often viewed as 'intangible,' is the powerhouse that allows GSI to leverage its sought-after strategic planning and relational expertise to maximize value to our clients.

To ensure that the client is only paying for value it receives, GSI splits this retainer fee into three segments.

1. Mandatory upfront advance retainer covering: a) development of strategic plan. b) due- diligence. c) project assessment. (GSI does not accept strictly contingent agreements).

2. Further compensation is paid only if the client accepts the strategic plan and achieves milestones outlined in the plan.

3. All normal and customary expenses are cleared before billing the client.

This structure helps to maintain a strong and healthy partnership by sharing risks while offering a minimum protection to GSI in the event of an unforeseen client predicament, as further described in our "Disclaimer" section below.

GSI has been based in Washington, DC for over 26 years, with consultants and strategically positioned relationships available worldwide. We look forward to exploring the power of partnership with you.

Global Strategies Inc. - Compensation Structure Disclaimer

GSI will develop and implement the strategic plan and marketing services, offering professional and world-class guidance and coaching at each step. The progress and success of the project could be impaired by a wide variety of factors such as; the emotional, physical, financial incapacitation of the client or its related entities; the clients perceived reputation or integrity, the clients inability to deliver part or all of the proposed goods or services, or a cultural mishap of the client with a foreign entity critical to the success of the project

That’s the same link I posted about 5 min after the request, but no changes were made on the thread...
It’s obviously the same story with just a few edits and greatly expanded, so I don’t know what the problem is...maybe it should just be posted separately?

Hmmm.... I think I see a pattern here. Traitors who are liberals sell out their country for ideology. Traitors who are conservatives sell out their country for cash, like this guy did.

Interesting distinction, but a traitor is still a traitor.

Speaking of Fred Upton, I’d kind of like to see him ousted in the Republican primary. State Representative Jack Hoogendyk, described by one article as “the most conservative member of the legislature,” has been thinking of challenging Carl Levin next year. One would think his chances would be just as good against Fred Upton.

Upton is a protege of Stockman’s. Something I don’t think he goes around advertising anymore. ;-)

I don't know either, but there must be some problem?

Yeah, ZERO.

His complementary academic pursuits include Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Political Science, a Ph.D. in International Business, a Doctorate in Humanities (Hon.) and has pursued advanced doctoral studies in education.

But no listing of the institutions confering the degrees.

Seems to me the guy was a bit of a flake...could it be that he truly fell for the "RoP" and "we all worship the same God" lines, and then didn't really think he was doing anything wrong?

Difficult to say. When he was elected here, I'm sure I voted for him. GOP nominee. Electable. Lesser of the two evils and all that shit.

Guess that makes me ... Well, just fill in the rest with any personal insult in the first 33% of this thread.

AMEN! I soo am voting against Fred Upton next time around, he has been such a Rino. I voted for him because he said he would stand by Bush in the Iraq war the whole way. Well the first thing he did after getting re-elected was vote against Bush on the Iraq War. He also was for that Democrat Health Care plan a few months ago. Thats the last time I will vote for Upton. Hoogendyk would be good!

Too bad we don't punish them like traitors.

Since you live in the area, perhaps you could contact Jack Hoogendyk about running. IMHO, he would have a better chance against Fred Upton than against Carl Levin.

Check out his remarks at Oxford (PDF). They explain a lot!

(Source page: http://www.georgetowncollege.edu/regents/news.htm)

For example, an excerpt...

“Do these same witnesses to the One God also believe in the last days and the prophets of Allah?” The Sheikh wondered.

I told him many if not most (Christians) not only accept the “witness” and the prophets and last days, but moreover would additionally believe in a broad sense, in the other four Pillars of Islam: 1) Salat, regular prayer; 2) Zakah, giving to the poor; 3) Siym, fasting; 4) Hajj, pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

I will never forget his look as he declared, “This is revolutionary.”

The question arises whom Islam considers as “infidels.” The militants argue that non-Muslims are infidels and therefore, worthy of death. Kafers (infidels) are those who do not accept the Shahadah.

Think of it, if those who follow Torah and Gospels would witness and believe in their hearts that God is one, could they be removed from the list of who are considered as “infidels”? This new common ground can help undercut the radical’s message of hate and their view of the glory of martyrdom through killing of infidels.
It seems very clear that he does believe "Allah" is who Christians worship.

He seems to be rather fanatical and "I've got the answer" in his past, and now it seems that he fervently believes that he has found the key to reconciliation between Islam and Judeo-Christianity.

“He is a traitorous scum bucket who needs to experience the death penalty.”

Any chance of the trial, evidence, verdict etc. first?
