How can they pass a law like this?" asked Mexican Rep. Leticia Amparano Gamez

Pot meet kettle.

Oil is $100 a barrel. Maybe Mexico should concentrate on cleaning up the corruption in their own system and allowing that oil revenue to help improve things in their own country... and let us run our country the way we want.

Go, Arizona! Keep those sanctions alive!

Mexican lawmakers can go to hell.
Try creating jobs in your corrupt country,
Try standing up to the narco mobs
Try taking care of your Mexican citizens so they don’t have to look elsewhere for job and life security.

Mexico insists upon blaming every country but themselves for their problems. Their immigration laws are harsh and punative compared to ours. If we were to apply their laws to their citizens they would squeal bloody murder. These are the actions and attitudes of the guilty and the criminal who never accept responsibility for the consequences of their behavior.

"How can they pass a law like this?" asked Mexican Rep. Leticia Amparano Gamez, who represents Nogales...."

Hey Leticia, Arizona is part of the United States, not Mexico. Get your people back south of the border and get them to FIX Mexico's problems. In short, STFU.

At a news conference Tuesday, they said Sonora cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools it will face as illegal Mexican workers in Arizona return to their hometowns without jobs or money.

Maybe they should elect Hillary President of Mexico! She'll fix all their problems. :0)

Surely, these folks just headed the wrong direction to make their claim...right? Try Tom-Tom, next time.

Yo, numbskull! Your capital is south, not north.

Now, to the substance of your whining... Perhaps, you should concentrate on correcting the rampant corruption in your own government that keeps you from creating jobs and opportunities that would obviate the need for your people to illegally enter this one, for any reason.
With your riches of natural resources, you should be an economic powerhouse, not the enfeebled money slug into which you’ve devolved.
But, on the main, that’s your issue, not ours. Stop whining and get to work in your own country.

I guess some people believe in the concept of self-deportation. They fear the dreaded double- whammy. The money being sent home dries up AND they get the people returning to use up resources.

"What do we do with the repatriated?" he asked. "As Mexicans, we are worried. They are Mexicans but they are also people's fathers and mothers and young people with jobs who won't have work in Sonora."

Well, if they're Mexicans then it's Mexico's problem, isn't it? Take care of your own!!!

This is really amazing, when Mexican lawmakers claim that Mexico cannot handle their own citizens returning to Mexico. Amazing! What arrogance!

They’re practically admitting sending them to the US for us to take care of them.

Sorry Mexico, we’ve got plenty of derelicts to support.

And we are supposed to care what these folks from Sonora think? And... we are supposed to tailor our laws to the advantage of Mexico? And.... we’re supposed to let MEXICAN OFFICIALS influence American laws?
I think not on all the above....
They need to worry about their own country and leave ours alone (including taking all the lawbreaking river swimmers back with them). If folks want to come over legally, fine and dandy. Otherwise, fix your own country and quit tryting to destroy ours.
Ok.. off my soapbox - but these people irritate me to no end.
