You want to make bookmarks, look like bacon, quick and easy?
Cut the package cover, so it has the brand and word bacon.
Take the piece of plastic, the bacon sits on in the package, wash it, yes, you need the grease off of it.
Cut 2 of the shape you want, say 1 by 4 inches, what ever fits your name piece or pieces.
Now poke a few holes in the 2 pieces of plastic, more if you want and start lacing the sides with bright yarn, leave room to put bacon words/photo or ad, in the middle and finishing the lacing.
Can be very fancy with crochet, or as simple as a 4 year old doing the lacing.
Years ago, we bought a clear contact paper in a roll, it was also useful for quick projects.
And yes, I dived a few dumpsters, in my day, always wish I could get back to the one behind the telephone office where payments were made, best one in town.
