Cuz they're eating each-others' BUTTS, see?
Yep!
>>>>DUDES get Cholera a lot, here, and it’s completely 1st world, right?
For some reason this reminds me of Kathmandu, Nepal, where I’ve traveled a few times in preparation for trekking.
Seems the World Health Organization did an extensive water study and found that the KTM water supply had every form of virus, bacteria, pathogen, and deadly disease. Cholera, of course. But how about meningitis, diptheria, Hep A and B, etc etc. Just about every scary disease you can imagine.
And they discovered the problem too. Throughout KTM the “fresh” water conduits and the sewer conduits were built right next to each other, and were in various stages of decomposition everywhere. So of course the “fresh” water was completely contaminated with human feces and other decaying organic matter.
There’s an analogy to the SFO cholera problem somewhere in that story.
BTW, it’s very easy to get very sick in KTM. I had my one and only near-death food poisoning there. I knew of some other guys who both got cerebral meningitis (one died), and a woman who died from rabies in Boston about a month after getting back home.
I guess that’s how we should think of SFO.
