What kind of nutcase thought that up?
Ug....what an emo this baby is.
Set in the early ‘90s? Honest to blog? There were no bogs back than and only smattering of bbs boards.
A grumpy, old rocker rails against what those young whippersnappers are listening to. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss, etc.
oh plleeeeeeeeze. Somebody put them out of their misery!!!!
So the guys real problem with the movie is that he didn’t like the sound track and he’s pissed off that a pregnant teen age girl didn’t get an abortion? IS that it?
I have read this carefully and stil don’t know what the hell this guy’s complaint with the movie is?
It was a brilliant film.
OK...maybe the guy has a point about the music...
I think he’s po’d that she didn’t abort.
It sounds like this guy is actually complainign about the music. He thinks young people (that he actually “talks to,” mind you....he says that several times) listen to grungy, pissed off classic rock.
He is so out of touch it is ridiculous.
As a middle school teacher, I know what the kids listen to, and they listen to the kind of stuff that was in Juno........now, that is white kids. African-American kids hate rock mostly.
Gosh. Where to begin? The feminization of men has claimed far too many who think that Feminism was overall good for women. They get figuratively slapped down by their tolerant-of-all women and cower wondering what they said wrong. Stand up, man! Stop co-opting your young daughter into thinking that ALL women need to behave the same way. Being anti-abortion is NOT being anti-women. There’s just too much in this article to deconstruct. Worn out already.
I thought one of the songs was Buddy Holly playing without amplification and backup but it was so close I was surprised. Some of these liberal pro abortion Democrat critics have the depth of music knowledge about as deep as the snot on a mustached upper lip.
I think so - you get the impression that if it was a bunch of “teen angst” leading up to an abortion, he’d love it.
I think the writer meant that he lived in Minneapolis in the 90’s. I don’t think the movie was set in the 90’s.
I think the idiot is saying he lived in MN in the early 90’s. Why a music critic thinks he can trash a movie is beyond me, other than that he admits he’s a “feminist”, meaning he’s PO’d because the girl didn’t kill the baby.

Spot on!
“As someone who actually talks to teens, I hated, hated, hated this movie.”
Maybe he “talks” to teens — like their Vice-Principal does — but, he’s not listening.
Juno is rated at an impressive 8.4 on IMDB. Younger viewers gave it the highest ratings — e.g. females 18-29 rated it a solid 9.0.
