One soldier’s reaction to Hillary claiming credit for political progress in Iraq...
“A soldier who has just returned from service in Iraq with a fighting unit writes:
Having just gotten back from Iraq about a month ago, I’m stunned to see Hillary Clinton taking credit for the progress (political and otherwise) going on in Iraq. While she was jetting around the country, raising money for her personal political ambitions, I was riding around the streets of Iraq, fighting terrorists and raising the hopes of people I don’t even know. For Clinton to suggest that her promises of future policies had more effect on the improvements in Iraq than even ONE of our soldiers is disgraceful and insulting. I will not allow her to take credit for the results of our hard work, especially when she opposed the policy to give us the help we needed ( i.e., the surge).
The soldier has asked us to withhold his name for the usual reasons, but it understates matters considerably to say that he has a point.”

Forgot to mention re: Hillary
Live on TV the MSM mentioned (from the parking lots), how many NY and CT plates they saw.
She did the same for rallies.
My biggest heroes are America's most unsung heroes -- the small business entrepreneurs. God bless all small business owners and entrepreneurs, and God blesses America WITH them. Small, medium, or big, business owners are in their way as honor-worthy as military veterans when it comes to patriotism. They spread prosperity in all directions. See my tag line for an idea of why I rank envy at the top of the worst aspect of the moral decay in America. It creates enemies from within.
I like big business and success. Romney is a business executive, an MBA thinker, the kind of guy who knows how to troubleshoot organized business, specifically BIG organized business. Now, think to the big business MBA execs you know personally or know about. They're big-picture "program" thinkers who solve problems in terms of getting control and forcing a change in direction with organizational coordination. Their number one goal is to "grow" the product. They've achieved success by overseeing the policies and directives of employees within big organizations, efficiency tending toward profitability. Principles dictating the rights of the individual are absent in these decisions because they don't belong there at all. That's business.
Romney is probably ethical and sincere and is certainly upright and clean-lived, and he believes himself a "conservative" through and through. But he doesn't understand how wrong is the very concept of government-controlled health insurance and health care because he's always found success by controlling those very kinds of things, toward growth and efficiency. That he hails from a big, organized church further confirms my view of his native tendencies being toward More Government. It would not occur to him to view differently the prospect of himself as the Manager, and the American People as the employees. He would think, "It's why they elected me!" and proceed to impose government bureaucracy on private rights in order to "solve" the national health care "problem." Or as Thompson stated, they think "compassionate conservatism" is "Bigger Government." FRiends, big government operates on a law of physics that is: It comes at the expense of our labor and our free choice. EVERY TIME.
Romney's executive business success is a double-edged sword in a representative Republic where conservatives stand for Limited Government principle. Fred Thompson is the Limited Government conservative, which protects freedoms that would be threatened by a Growing Government Liberal from either party.
He’s been off taking care of some personal business if I recall correctly.
I agree with you.
Many of the liberal Democrats I’ve talked to will admit disdain for capitalism and a free market economy. Even those who are in business do not seem to understand the benefits and advantages of capitalism. They fall for the emotional appeal that socialism and the government programs have. Even a few that are fairly wealthy don’t understand what they have to lose because they are caught up in punishing success.
Yeah thats a fav in Fla.
Claire McCaskill, talk about the queen of sleeze.
Santorum and Gerson on McCain (in case you missed it):

One can only hope.
GOOD catch! I have a hunch that the days of Black Americans automatically being Democrats are numbered. It's like a rolling snowball, and it's already started.
McCain can’t win, “You know it and I know it!”*
But does McCain know it?
* As immortalized on Rush’s show.
Yep. Any election victory Hillary has is due to fraudulent supplementation of actual votes. The consequence of that is that if she succeeds, it will backfire because in reality the people who "support" her are pure illusion, from media to joe-on-the-street to regional representatives. She'll become the most hated and loathed president in history and it would happen quickly and do very long-term damage to the Democrat party. That's all IF she's nominated and IF she didn't lose to the Republican candidate. Fraud is Hillary's only hope.
She'll become the most hated and loathed president in history and it would happen quickly and do very long-term damage to the Democrat Party.
I just don't see it happening. The dems are already the party of total corruption and it seems to Teflon off them all the time. When does the public wake up?
While Fred’s limited govt principles may be preferable in an ideal world, he will not be able to have as much success dealing with all the institutional inertia in DC as Mitt MAY (possibly) be able to handle.
The Kennedys, Reids, Feingolds, Durbins, McCains, Hagels, etc will have a field day with ol’ Fred.
Well damn you guys.
Course I’m making a play off of Rush’s “top ten favorite” female names. If you listen to Rush you would have noticed that oncit in a while he will tell a caller that her name is one of her top ten female names.
It’s women almost always with old-fashioned sorts of names and when Rush points them out as being amongst his fave female names most times I like them too.
EMILY I think was one. BARBARA was another.
Two things. First, today I began my own list of top ten male names and so far I’ve been honest as stated. Christopher is really my all time favorite male name. I don’t know anyone named Christopher and I have no sons. If I had a son, he would be known as Christopher.
Then, as stated before, there’s Cedric, William, Rod(ney), Geoffrey, Jeff, oh....and another of my all time top ten male names...GREGORY.
I’m not up to ten yet but I’m still thinking about it.
Second thing....as for Rush....I am quite sure that my own name would be one of his all time top favorite female names although no woman with my name has ever phoned him that I recall.
But MY name is a beloved female name of my era. In fact, my father himself told me he named me because my name was always his favorite female name. I just know it would be in Rush’s top ten female favorite names.
Which is....(and I always HATED the name)....TADA...
PATRICIA!!!
You know I’m right.
Rudy in Florida - sounds like a tiny crowd.
you are wrong here about McCain. He has been calling for more troops almost from the beginning. He never used the term surge but that is a distinction without a difference.
