Aw, c’mon, there must be more imperfect candidates you can add to the “my way or the highway” list.

Obama's campaign poses a fundamental threat to the current African American "Civil Rights" leadership and the Democrat Party Establishment.

Obama as a serious candidate for President shows it is not necessary to be a tame house slave on the Democrat Plantation to achieve political power. That it is possible for the black man to be the plantation master.

That challenges the whole rational for people like Jackson and Sharpton et al to be treated as power brokers by either the US Media or the Democrat Party./

Tell me again that McCain won’t get the nomination!

Please.

And then tell me the Huckster won’t get it either.

Pretty please.

McCain and Rudy strike me as similar candidates. Rudy is liberal on social issues, McCain is liberal on social and spending issues, and both are (supposedly) strong on defense and the war on terror.

This is borne out in the polls. As McCain has ascended, Rudy has fallen. My conclusion is McCain is taking Rudy’s votes. If you add their totals, they are never higher than about 40%.

This is why I do not fear either will be nominated. They will never get more than 40% of the Republicans on their side.

Social conservatives are split among Fred, Romney, and Huckabee. If these folks would coalesce around Fred, I’ll be content. Romney is my second choice, and Huck a distant third.

Hillary: My tears were “a moment of real emotional connection”.

More proof she ought not be president. If she can't handle a little campaigning how will she handle the thugs of the world? Her crying surely won't show strength and power to the Iranians or North Koreans.

McCainiacs are running around dishonestly assigning credit for The Surge strategy to McCain. McCain had nothing to do with the Surge. His plan was the Baker Commission and Americanizing the war. The Baker Commission was a creature of John McCain and Senate Republicans. It was the price they demanded of Bush for continuing to fund the war in 2006.

I was surprised that no one has challenged McCain on that. Even Rummy has resigned because of dem take-over & Prez don't want to put the torture of dems so he was let go.

And it was the Prez who asigned David Patreus saying Wasshington(meaning senate) should stay out of Military strategy & Prez is the decider on all things Military.

Also, he keep blaming Bush admn for Katrina even though Republicans won overwhelmingly proving it was the democrat-bungle for Katrina debacle. Democrats were hiding behind McCain's grand-standing during 2006 which was mainly responsible for Republican-loss, imho.

The NY Slimes Editors are such ignorant arrogant whores for the Democrat Party Establishment.

NO NY Slimes, Iraq is a finished debate. As in 2002 and 2004 your side has lost it. Instead of arrogantly clinging to your failed doctrines, NY Slimes, grow up, admit you have been wrong from the start on Iraq and move on.

I don’t get Britt on this concept that it makes sense for anybody to drop out before SuperTuesday.

Mara would like McCain and Huck to remain in the race. No kidding. Civil campaign? Is she kidding. Now Kristol is folding.

They are a family of fishermen, the Fischers, who have access to a 100 ft. dive/sport fishing boat. They are so photogenic that ESPN runs their shows weekly. They do a lot of spear gun episodes many originating from Costa Rica although it looks like they will be taking at trip around the world now. A nice group with interesting shows.(not in Jose’s league however)
...........................
Jose’s show now ending, showing him catching a bonefish on fly tackle,(looked about 8 lbs.) across the street from me. Pretty cool.
..................
(Big week in Islamorada, they are doing the open house for Home and Gardens, also across the street)

Like everything else about the clintons, Hillary did not actually cry. She only appeared to tear up. Pure theatre.
