“There is the same amount of water on, in and above the earth today as there was at the time of creation. That being the case where did all the water from the flood go?”

As I understand it, before the flood, there was a water canopy around the earth. It is described in the beginning of creation, when God separated the waters from the waters.

So, we had a water canopy, water on the earth (at least in the form of rivers and seas), and waters in the deep (below the earth).

At the time of the flood, God let water pour down, he opened up the deep, and apparently a whole new system came into play.

That’s all I can really glean. The main point is, things worked differently before the Flood.

Finally some common sense. Evolution and religion are not mutually exclusive. God’s great plan is evident all around us.

Evolution and the Bible are mutually exclusive however. Evolution and science are also mutually exclusive. (you cannot prove or even theorize how something comes from nothing, order arises out of chaos, or life, intelligence, personality, and morality arise from dirt.

If you are a Christian, you cannot do away with creation without doing away with the entire reason Christ came - to redeem us from death, which is the wages of sin and which was not in the world until sin entered the world.

Evolution is anything but common sense. The passage of time doesn't make any of these impossibilities more possible. It's just as impossible one moment as it is the next moment.

You can’t have a system of Bible interpretation that gives you 11 chapters of Genesis as pure figurative writing—virtual myth—and then suddenly you have to believe all the miracles later.

So, is Song of Solomon an figurative allegory for Christ and the church, or is old Sol just hot for his lover and the stodgy old Bishops who approved the book for the official Bible slipped up?

We can now detect, by gravity displacement, that other stars probably have planets.

1) Do you accept this on the basis that others say this, or would you have to see them to verify their truth, and...

2) If they exist, do you believe God may have created life there as well, and...

3) If not, are those bright pinpoints of light in the sky, which current physics posits must be millions of miles away, given the definable speed of light, or are they candles hung in a series of glass domes surrounding us?

4) And if they are, did the Devil put them there to fool us into believing in these "stars", and why does God allow us to? And for that matter...

5) Do you believe that we walked on the moon, or was it staged to confus us?

Please respond to each point, by number, so we remain on the same arguement. This is fascinating.

Ok,

1. I can accept the idea that other stars have planets. I wouldn’t need to see them to believe it. It makes sense to me. Genesis doesn’t contradict that.

2. God could have created life there as well, like mold or vegetation or whatever. I kind of doubt it, but I don’t say it’s not possible. Genesis doesn’t contradict that.

3. Yes, God could have created life of some kind or another as well, as part of his creation. He created the heavens, you know, with the supernovas and dwarf stars and comets and etc.

4. I don’t think the devil has any creative power.

5. Yes, I believe we walked on the moon and have made satellites and so forth.

God created the heavens. We are exploring them. I don’t see why you’d think I’d have a problem with that. Hope my answers are helpful.

Good reply! Rev. Dowd just wants to be loved and accepted-—what’s wrong with that? Just because he has subscibed to the biggest hoax in “science” to accrue some adulation? No one should be troubled. To imagine that God is even bigger that the good reverand thought! Wow! That’s some scary deep thinking. (lol) Bob

To believe the basic doctrines of evolution, one must deny the literal interpretation of Genesis chapter one.

Which doesn't make you an atheist.

True. Many do not believe the Bible is God’s inspired and infallible Word, and yet are not atheists. I didn’t mean to imply otherwise.

Marie, I too believe that other stars have planets, etc. What I do NOT believe is that random, impersonal “forces” created or evolved even one scintilla of the grand panoply of life which we observe. I love how evolutionists set up a preposterous straw man, then proceed to hack away with a machete! (lol) Bob
