I just didn't realize how bad things were in Georgia.

Now this particular effort by Carter should provide some real knee slappers.
(I wonder if he blames the infestations on the Israelis?)

And don’t forget the killer psychotic rabbits.

“rodents, including rats so big they could “successfully challenge” most cats.”
Sometimes the jokes just write themselves!!!
Though.... Jimmuh the Rat clearly never encountered a Viking Kitty.

I am uncomfortable about how fondly he recalls that colitis cure .

Hmmm...maybe that sulfur and kerosene on the head helps to explain how he gave us double-digit inflation and a 21% prime interest rate.

Did Miss Lillian hate Jews as much as her son does?

I am a city girl but I remember visiting mothers relatives who lived deep in the pine forest of east Texas. In the 1940’s they had no electricity or running water in the house and I am sure it is just what Jimmah experienced. My memories of the smoke house, the milking barn and the garden are precious to me. It was fun visiting them for the afternoon but I wouldn’t have wanted to live there.

Now I’m curious. Did the family eat clay? Apparently it’s a common practice in some parts of Georgia.

FIRST YORKSHIREMAN: You were lucky. We lived for three months in a paper bag in a septic tank. We used to have to get up at six in the morning, clean the paper bag, eat a crust of stale bread, go to work down t' mill, fourteen hours a day, week-in week-out, for sixpence a week, and when we got home our Dad would thrash us to sleep wi' his belt. SECOND YORKSHIREMAN: Luxury. We used to have to get out of the lake at six o'clock in the morning, clean the lake, eat a handful of 'ot gravel, work twenty hour day at mill for tuppence a month, come home, and Dad would thrash us to sleep with a broken bottle, if we were lucky!
From Monty Python "Four Yorkshiremen" sketch ... can't really post the whole thing, but can be read here

Enjoy :)

Hmmmm after reading this I do feel sick. Did Carter have to spill all of this? I still don’t like him.

And to think when Carter was a child the state had been run by Democrats for many decades already.
