Cut the canards. That dog won't hunt.
With the exception of McCain, there is very little daylight between the candidates on the border. Everyone is talking tough on the border. Even McCain says first we need to secure the border. He just so happens to not say what comes next (amnesty).

The real daylight between the Hunter/*uckabee/Buchanan wing and the rest of the mainstream GOP field is trade protectionism vs. so-called "globalism".

The only reason I mentioned immigration is that it was one of the ways that you said Hunter fit the Buchanon wing of the party. Your statement kind of confused me because I thought Hunters position on Immigration was orthodoxy but that is why I addressed it. As to trade - there is a difference between the level of tarriff’s that Hunter supports and the level that Buchanon supported but I will grant that there is a large degree of similarity. I see that as a good thing - you obviously see it as a bad thing. I think that a country which doesn’t seek to protect its government and industry is doing failing in its job - you obviously don’t agree.
