Sidney Blumenthal is one of the famous FOBs - Friends of Bill. He used his closeness to Bill Clinton to take a spin through the revolving door between journalism and politics and join the White House communications team in 1997 after writing articles favourable towards President Clinton.
The journalist, who had written for the New Yorker magazine, the Washington Post, New Republic and Vanity Fair, met the Clintons in the 1980s at a Renaissance Weekend. He became close to them while covering the 1992 presidential campaign.
He is as close, if not closer, to Hillary Clinton than her husband.

Thanks. I am not directly tuned into the MSM (no television) - I rely on FR to help me keep up with the bozos. Of course, I knew he was of some relation to the Clinton crime family.
gain, I wonder if this story breaks large.

He is as close, if not closer, to Hillary Clinton than her husband. That describes just about everyone.

The journalist ... met the Clintons in the 1980s at a Renaissance Weekend. That is Sid's version of their meeting, as it appeared in his autobiography, and neither the Clintons nor the MSM have departed from that story.
But there is a good chance that Mr. Vicious first met Her Royal Thighness back in their undergrad college days in the 60s, when he attended Brandeis and she attended Wellesley at precisely the same time. The two schools are less than ten miles apart, and both were very much into left wing student politics. There is also a possibility that they met even before then, since both grew up in the Chicago area.
