How would the Departure of Mitt or Rudy from the Race help or hurt Fred. (Discuss amongst yourselves.)

How would Mitt or Rudy’s departure from the Race help or hurt Fred?

Fred’s his own man——doesn’t cut his campaign cloth to fit the fashion of the day.

Mitt’s departure won’t make a difference because Fred will be long gone before that happens, and I can’t imagine anyone who has been a big Rudy supporter would have much in common with Fredheads. If Rudy goes his people will all flow to McCain giving him a boost. Fred and his supporters, on the other hand, need to worry more about Fred helping himself rather than looking for these other scenarios to carry the day. If he falters in SC, which polls say is likely he will be the next one out of the race, he has all but said that. And when he leaves expect him to endorse his good buddy John.

That would be sad because when you listen to him talk he has some good things to say but he waited to long to get in, has too little money to run a national campaign and has a style that is not really made for modern day politics. He said as much on Hannity’s show the other day when he decried the fact that there were no venue for actual discussion of ideas just 30 second sound bite “debates”.
