Me neither. I was not part of the campaign for Reagan. I had a Dole Kemp sign in my yard, and more recently, a Bush sign, and I freeped for Bush (with my sign "W1," in the election fiasco, on Wilshire Blvd.). But I never felt as passionate about the candidate himself as I do about Fred Thompson. G-d be with him; he needs this win in SC.
Thank you so much for posting the video! I LOVE it! This is so exciting!!!!
I would sure like to see some more of the country music stars on the trail with Fred. I have seen pictures of Sara Evans and some others at his events. These ladies could sure help him in the south.
I know, I know. I just hate waiting.
flag for later viewing!
They wouldn’t dare screw with the goose that lays golden eggs, one right after the other. Making an enemy of Rush would tank them.
Yes this is history in the making. If we buckle down and apply our passion and patriotism we can do anything. Thompson may not be Reagan but he is a man that does not blink twice when standing up for conservatism and America. I will not vote for a candidate that sees his role as being to make nice with the left. Huckabee says as much on his stump every day with his vertical candidate nonsense.
Well unless credibility is in that coffee, he’s not going to regain it for a long time. It’s a shame, I really liked him.
Fred has my donations and three votes from my little house in Texas.
I was not either. I was a bit too young to vote then. I found my conservatism in the library and in the life I led in WV. I found it in the value of the patriotism of our forefathers and the plain speaking men and women who surrounded me. The message of the liberal Democrats never appealed to me because of its fatalism. I saw the value of hard work in my one grandfather who worked two jobs all of his life, the farm and the tannery and still knew how to crack a joke and stoke the fire of my grandmothers ire in jest. I saw the value of ones personal sovereignty in a grandfather who believed he owned what he owned and would not back down in a fight for what he believed was right and still found to dream in the darkness of a coal mine.
I saw it in the love of my grandmothers and mom who always let me dream and never saw limits in me. I found in the love of a father who worked every day in the coal mines to make the best life for his family even though he had the simple desire to be a history teacher. I thankful that he taught me through his kindness how to be a good father and a good man.
There is no shame in sacrifice but those who would heap it on us in the name of public charity and guilt laying claim to the gratitude of the weak and lazy for themselves and then feed us on a diet of bitterness and class warfare are not our saviors. We not they are the sovereigns of this great land! We will have our say because those who came before us were not so weak as to sell their souls for the the empty promise of a bit of bread and entertainment.
That is sweet music to my ears!
In addition to his excellent performance, the fact that Fred wore a black suit could be partly responsible for his improved appearance. Those flaccid grey suits just don’t make it. Black brings out the intensity in his dark eyes and makes him look powerful, thinner, and more serious.
How about the Thompson-Limbaugh ‘08 ticket?
.
I listened on the radio to Rush extol the virtues of Thompson’s performance—wonderful! It just never occurred to me that I would want to watch a video of the radio program. I strongly support Fred, but I guess I’m not a Fred “junky” like you guys. When Fred’s book comes I can look forward to a video of the pages being turned.
It is about one thing. Keeping things moving in whatever small way we can. I’m just glad you support Fred. You don’t have to be a junky. We will handle the junk for you. lol
I hope the evangelicals are listening to Rush, and are taking note of this ( and with Fred’s comments during the debate ) ... are sitting back, and taking another 2nd look at Huck, and are saying,, “ NAAAAAAAaaaaaaaa .... we changed our minds and hearts... FRED IS THE ONE !! “
