Hilleary (R-TN) amendment to the Buyer (R-IN) amendment to prohibit funding for ground deployment of U.S. troops in Bosnia after Dec. 31, 1997, unless the President submits a report requesting that Congress extend the funding. The amendment requires that the extension be approved by a joint resolution of Congress, and would permit deployment for an additional 180 days or until June 30, 1998.
