Fred was polling neck and neck with frontrunner Rudy when Huck challenged him to that debate, and Huck was at the bottom, there was no reason for Fred to take that debate, he would have looked manipulated.

I knew it would happen, as soon as Fred shows what most people believe is "fire in the belly" they would immediately jump on him for being too harsh, and recommend he not have so much fire-in-the-belly. LOL, the nonsense goes on and on.
