Look up the meaning of the word “fan.” You are not one when it comes to Fred. Saying you are a fan of Fred to make your criticism look like honest concern is not honest criticism.
Let me paraphrase my previous post in this thread:
.....Thompson always had (for me) the aura of authority; a person above the fray; untarnished by the stain of “petty politicking”; almost larger than life (like Reagan), but last night’s performance brought [my image of] him down to the level of the common politician.
This really hurt my mental image of him.
I'm being honest. Have I given you a reason to believe that I am anything but?
