It's amazing how obsessed college coaches are with the NFL.

From what I remember of his tenure at The Pats and Jets he wasn't exactly Vince Lombardi.

Why would he want to leave the perfect atmosphere, for him at least, in order to take over that horrible NFL team?

Because he’s in Compton. Not that the ATL or DC is any better.

And Bill Belichick wasn’t that great in his 1st HC job in Cleveland. I’m guessing the New England fans are happy the Pats didn’t take your advice there as well.

He’ll leave because he doesn’t want to have to clean up the mess he fostered. If the NCAA comes down on USC, he wont’ be able to “not notice” that his players are driving around in luxury cars with their families living in million dollar houses, even though he recruited them in the projects. He’ll have to deal with fewer scholarships, tighter restrictions, etc... Much easier to leave than deal with that.
